Andrew A Yoder, age 84, Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.  Andy was born January 22, 1940 in Lumberton, Pearl River County, Mississippi.  He was the seventh of fourteen children born to the late Andrew M and Emma N (Schrock) Yoder (Ohio/Kansas).

Andy was a hardworking and service-oriented man who lived his life intentionally without following the crowd or looking for approval.  He spent his life full of kindness and respect for others.  He was raised in the Old Order Amish community of Ethridge, Tennessee, leaving the community at age 21.  On March 18, 1967, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, Andy married his sweetheart, Sarah (Schrock) Yoder, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2022.

He is survived by two sons, John (Sharon) Yoder of Kansas City, Missouri and Stephen (Natalie) Yoder of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph (Iva) Yoder of Ethridge, Tennessee, and Eli (Fannie) Yoder of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and two sisters Mary (Jonathan) Yoder of Ethridge, Tennessee, and Mattie (Samuel) Hochstetler of Ethridge, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sarah, daughter Karen Yoder, three grandchildren, brothers Moses, Gideon, Daniel, Jacob, Noah, and Enos, and sisters Elizabeth, Lydia, and Delila.
