Barbara Joan Phillips,78 passed away peacefully in her home on January 11, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born November 21,1945 in Florence, Alabama to Margaret Willodean Hill (Bobbie) and Charles Hill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband
Bill Phillips and her loving grandson Brandon Raupp. She is survived by her sons Paul (Denise) Raupp and, Kevin Raupp. Also, her fur baby, Bella who never left her side; grandsons Justin Michael Raupp, and Nicholas Trey Raupp; her sister Janice (Bob) O'Grady; her nephew Brian (Mandy) Bonner and niece, Angela Bonner. Barbara started her career with Sears Home Services as a very hard-working and dedicated employee servicing an array of home appliances for over 28 years and retiring in December of 2000. But retirement didn't stop her. Because of her love of cleaning homes, she started a home cleaning business for friends and clients. This business provided a way for her to spend
more time with her grandsons (affectionately referred to as her boys). Nothing could keep her down. She showed all of us what hard work is and she instilled that throughout her lifetime. Those who knew her witnessed the amount of love that she showed for everyone, especially for
her children, her boys, her sister, and let's not forget her fur-babies who were always like children to her. She was always there for every one of her boys' auditions, plays, games, and graduations, cheering for them along the way. One can never think of Barbara without thinking of her sister Janice too, as they were so close and had such a beautiful bond and love for each other. She enjoyed long shopping weekends and cruises which she loved going on with family and friends. No one loved Christmas more than Barbara. Her home was always decked out so beautifully with her incredible design style. She also had an outstanding ability to dress beautifully. She loved dressing up and she was always dressed "to the nines". Barbara was not only a loving mother, she was more, so so much more. She was an elegant, warm-hearted loving grandmother, sister and best friend to so many people. She never met a stranger. To know her was to love her. She was so loved and will be dearly missed!
