Ben D. Hatcher, age 90, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away Wednesday,
September 20, 2023.
He was born March 27, 1933 in Osceola, Arkansas to Dean & Alice Hatcher.
He graduated from Memphis State College with a B.A. Degree in Industrial Arts
and a Master's Degree in Education.  He retired from a sales career in Building
& Construction Materials.
He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, serving as deacon to the
congregation in his final years.
Ben & Marguerite shared a love of outdoor activities that included recreational
boating, water skiing, golf, motorcycle riding & traveling in their RV.  Ben was
also an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
His daughters & later granddaughter were included in many of these activities.
He was an aviation enthusiast, receiving his private pilot license at the age of
16, and later a Multi-Engine Rating Certification.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 67 years,
Marguerite.
He is survived by his daughters; Cecilia Parham (Glen), Rita Hatcher Stricklin
(Brian); and his granddaughter Casey Stricklin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ben's memory may be made to Colonial
Baptist Church, 1503 Colonial Rd., Memphis, Tennessee.
There will be an intimate service attended by Ben's immediate family.  His final
resting place will be alongside of his beloved wife in Memorial Gardens
