Beverly Diane McKnight of Bartlett, TN passed away the evening of Monday, October 9 th , 2023.
She was 62 years old. She is survived by her son Andrew Allen McKnight (Kasey Wyatt
McKnight) and two grandchildren Freeman Howard McKnight (7) and Brooklyn Boo McKnight
(4) of Lakeland, TN, and her two nephews Matthew McKnight Stewart of Bartlett, TN and
Zachary Edward Stewart (Ashley Noe Stewart) of Counce, TN.

A native Memphian, Beverly grew up in East Memphis and graduated from Elliston Baptist
Academy. Being 5'11, she excelled at multiple sports including basketball, volleyball, and
softball. She was beloved by her peers with her larger-than-life personality and was always the
life of the party.

She graduated from Memphis State University pursuing Journalism but after graduation made
the shift to Information Technology where she thrived throughout her career in Project
Management roles. She went on to complete her Masters from The University of Phoenix.
Beverly emphasized family over everything throughout her life. She raised her son, Andrew, for
many years under the same roof with her parents, Howard and Elizabeth McKnight. Being a
single mother, she was a very strong woman and ensured that her son was more than taken
care of. Her best friend was her sister Cindy, and they did everything together – including
blending their families so Matt, Zach, and Andrew could grow up together. She was a second
mom to Matt and Zach and shared a very special bond with them both. Her grandchildren,
Freeman and Brooklyn, were the loves of her life. The love she showed them guaranteed that
they will never forget their Gigi.

Giving was her love language. Christmas in particular was a very special holiday every year and
she would orchestrate the family festivities. She would often start buying presents for the next
Christmas immediately following the previous Christmas. Nothing gave her more joy than the
act of giving and watching people open what she had gotten them.
Being a woman of such strong faith, we are comforted in knowing she is now in Heaven and
reunited with her loved ones – especially Cindy, Mac, and Liz.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends as she leaves behind a major void that will
never be filled. She was a very special woman that has left a lasting mark on this world with her
incredible personality.

Memorial services will be held Friday, October 27 th at Harmony Church of Bartlett at 6740 St.
Elmo Rd, Bartlett, TN 38135. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
All are welcome to join family and friends for lunch afterwards at her son's home, 10473 Riley
River Road, Lakeland, TN 38002.
