Bruce Wayne Reed, Sr

Bruce Wayne Reed, Sr, passed away peacefully with his children by his side in Memphis, TN on April 20, 2021. Born in Memphis, TN October 15, 1935, the only son of Bruce and Aileen Reed and the younger brother of Dorothy Day and Louise Campbell. He was a retired City of Memphis Fire Fighter of 25 years. He also painted houses as his second job for 25 plus years.  He loved his wife, family and friends.  Bruce was a devoted husband to his wife Dale Reed. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle,  and "Papaw".  He is survived by his two sons, Wayne Reed (Nancy) of Collierville, TN, Hayes Reed of Southaven, MS and his daughter Cheryl McKee (Larry) of Memphis, TN.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Brian Reed (Lydia), Amber Reed, Steven Reed (Megan), Kalie Burleson (Preston), Cody McLendon, Logan McKee and Lawson McKee, and 7 great-grandchildren,  Owen, Miles, Nolan, Annistyn, Rye, Kayleigh and Parker. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years Dale Schmidt Reed his son Douglas Allen Reed, his parents and his 2 sisters.
