Cathy Peck Cheek, 70, was called home peacefully on May 15, 2025, to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born on October 24, 1954. Cathy was a source of joy, strength, and comfort to everyone who knew her. She was the beloved wife of John Cheek for forty-one years; devoted mother to Kristina Headley (Barrett), Paul Cheek (Tanya), and David Cheek (Jessica); and proud grandmother to Andrew Headley, Noah Cheek, Cooper Cheek, Anniston Cheek, Eli Cheek, Audrey Cheek, Avery Cheek, Millie Cheek, and Kristopher Headley.  Cathy worked for the family business, H.C. Peck and Son, as a skilled residential painter. She retired early and poured her energy into the things that brought her the most joy—her family, her friends, and her passions.  She was an avid golfer and loved playing in her ladies' bowling league, but her true gift was creating a home where everyone felt welcome. Cathy's house was the heart of every holiday, birthday, and summer barbecue—filled with the smell of her incredible cooking, the sound of music playing, and often, her dancing in the living room with her family. She loved to laugh, to feed others, and to make memories with the people she loved most. Her warmth, her spirit, and her unwavering love created a legacy that will live on in the many lives she touched. To know Cathy was to feel at home.  A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
