Christopher Byrum, a man of steadfast faith and dedicated service, was called home on December 18, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on November 26, 1987, in Memphis, Chris grew up with a heart for his community. A graduate of Millington Central High School, Chris first distinguished himself through his involvement in the ROTC program, continuing that by serving in the Tennessee State Guard. This foundation of excellence followed him into his professional life. He spent many years serving the medical community, first in optometry and later in ophthalmology. He devoted nearly a decade at Eye Specialty Group, where he was eager to learn more to help provide the best care for his patients. Above all, Chris was a man of God. ​A faithful servant of the Lord, he served as a Deacon at his church, where he was known for his kind heart and dedication to the ministry. While these achievements were many, his greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father, and a pillar of strength for all. He is survived by his wife, Brittni; his son, Ethan; his mother, Linda (James); and his brothers, Kenny (Vesper), Dustin (Caitlyn).
