Obituary

Cynthia “Cyndy” Osborne passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on April 11, 1948, Cyndy lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in everyday things.

On January 1, 1994, she married the love of her life, Bob Osborne, with whom she shared thirty wonderful years of marriage until his passing on August 31, 2024. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Cyndy had a remarkable gift for creating beauty with her hands. An accomplished quilter, seamstress, doll maker, and fiber artist, she earned multiple First Place ribbons and Best of Show honors at the Quilt and Fiber Arts Show. She also enjoyed restoring old furniture, a talent passed down through generations of craftsmen in her family, as her father taught her to appreciate woodworking and fine finishes.

A lifelong lover of flowers and the outdoors, Cyndy found her greatest joy in the garden. She had a remarkable gift for transforming ordinary spaces into something beautiful, not only in her own yard but in the flower beds of friends and neighbors throughout her community. Her generosity was evident in the countless hours she spent planting, tending, and sharing her knowledge with others. To know Cyndy was to know someone who freely gave her time, talents, and friendship, leaving behind not only beautiful gardens but a community made brighter by her kindness.

Earlier in life, Cyndy worked briefly as a flight attendant for American Airlines before spending many years managing a physician’s office. She later found a special home at Davies Manor Plantation and Hillwood, where she devoted over 25 years of service. She took great pride in preserving the historic property, preparing for events, and making every space welcoming. Her cheerful spirit, strong work ethic, and eye for detail left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Cyndy is survived by her brother, Clayton M. Ink; her nieces, Kirsten C. Love and Karly C. Rasmussen; her great-niece, Britney Rasmussen; her great-nephew, Tyler C. Williams; her stepdaughters, Lisa Walker and Nicci Yarbrough; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Osborne.

Cyndy will be remembered for her gentle heart, creative spirit, unwavering dedication, and the beauty she brought into the lives of others. Her legacy lives on in every quilt she stitched, every flower she nurtured, and every life she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all she touched.
