David Ward Allen, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Sunday April 30 ^th after a brief illness. He was born in Memphis August 13, 1945 and grew up in Memphis, attending Kingsbury High School and Memphis State University. David spent most of his career in Restaurant & Hospitality Management, but in his later years transitioned to a supervisor role in Security. David is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Janette Allen, his sister Norma Jean Foster nee Allen, his first wife Pam Allen nee Luther, and his second wife (whom he married after the passing of his first wife, Pam), Gina Allen, nee Wagner. He is survived by his sons Michael and Chris; his sister Kathleen (Danny) Spencer nee Allen, two grandchildren, Gabriel and Hannah; 4 great grandchildren, Diana, Melanie, Freyja, and Orion; and several nieces and nephews. A lifetime member of Highland Heights Presbyterian Church, he was a wonderful son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. His fierce love of his family and unwavering defense of those he loved were his defining traits. Tender-hearted, and stoic, he left a profound and positive impression on all his family and friends. Visitation is Saturday, May 6, 2023 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service, at Highland Heights Presbyterian Church, 2855 Morning Sun Road, Cordova. There will be a luncheon for family and friends following the service.
