Edna "Claudine" Towery, aged 80, originally of Greenville, MS, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home in Memphis, TN, surrounded by family. Claudine was born July 26, 1942, in Shaw, MS. She was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital in Memphis after 30+ years of service. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Gordon, her daughter, Victoria Towery-Coker, and her son, Andrew Towery. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John C. Towery; daughter Leanne Wheat (Tim) of Millington, TN; seven grandchildren, Traci, Lindsey, Kristina, Kelsey, Luke, Taylor, and Lyndsey Lee; six great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Melissa Prescott Towery of Memphis, TN; and sister, Nancy Pelezo of Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be Saturday, May27th at Harmony Church of Bartlett at 3:00 pm and service at 4:00 pm
