FLOSSIE CLEVELAND DILLARD March 28, 1934 ~ January 14, 2025
Born on March 28, 1934, Flossie Cleveland Dillard lived a life filled with purpose and devotion, bringing light and warmth into the lives of her family and friends.
Flossie was blessed with a large and loving family, and she considered them her greatest treasure. She was the proud and devoted mother of six sons—Hershel Jones, Albert Cedney Jones, David Jones, Jessie Jones, Johnny Tweedy, and Will Tweedy—and three daughters, Diane Jones, Virgie Jones, and Jeannette Golden. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and guidance, where she taught her children the values of kindness, resilience, and faith.
Her love extended far beyond her children. She was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, with more descendants than can be counted. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she poured her love into them, ensuring that her legacy of warmth and care would live on for generations to come.
In her later years, Flossie was cared for with unwavering devotion by her granddaughter Jewel Steward, who became not just her caregiver but her constant companion. Jewel's love and commitment reflected the incredible bond Flossie shared with her family—a bond that was rooted in love and nurtured by the countless memories they created together.
Flossie was a woman of quiet strength and deep faith. Her life was filled with acts of kindness, her words always uplifting, and her heart always open. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her resilience through life's challenges was a source of inspiration, and her laughter could light up any room.
As we say goodbye to Flossie, we will remember her as the cornerstone of her family, the heart of so many cherished moments, and the embodiment of unconditional love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in every smile, every hug, and every memory shared among those she loved so dearly.
Rest peacefully, Flossie Cleveland Dillard. Your legacy of love will carry on forever, and you will always remain in our hearts.
