Obituary

Genera Rudell (Williams) Bradshaw, 93, was called home by her Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ on August 21st, 2021 at 3.33 am. She was born
January 20, 1928 to Addie and Lonnie Williams of Hurricane
Mississippi. After graduating High School, she took a job in Memphis at
the Sears and Roebuck Crosstown store. She would catch the train to
Memphis in New Albany on Sunday, work all week and then catch the
train home on Friday afternoon.
When World War II ended she met and married the love of her
life, William David Bradshaw. They married and had four children,
Janice, Judy, David Jr. and Terry. She left her job at Sears and became a
stay at home mom. This marriage lasted until 1969 when David passed
away from colon cancer.
Upon his passing, she went back to work for Sears, working there
until her retirement. During this time, she met and married James
Brinkley. They were very active at Orchi Baptist Church. She loved to
sing alto in the choir and for several years sang with the gospel group
the Glory Land Singers. She continued to sing with a gospel group from
her church well into her 80's. When James passed away, she said she
would never remarry. However, after a time, she began seeing a fellow
church member, Ben Bushart, who admitted to being a long time
admirer. They "dated" for a short time and eventually married. They
lived in Southaven; Mississippi until Ben also passed away.
She was also pre-deceased by her mother and father, Lonnie and
Addie Williams, as well as a brother, Carl Williams and two sisters, Eurie
Knight and Onis Bramlett, and a grandchild, Candace (Bradshaw)
Boone. She leaves her baby sister, Lonnie Mae Hale, her four children,

Janice Nelson of Hernando Ms., Judy Criner of Halls Tn., David
Bradshaw of Bartlett, Tn., Rev. Terry Bradshaw of Hollow Rock, Tn, one
son-in-law Rev. Roger Criner, two Daughters-in-law, Brenda Bradshaw
#1 and Brenda Bradshaw #2, a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Known a Gerry by most of her friends and coworkers, she was
known as Mom by her four children and Nanny Bradshaw by everyone
else. No greater mother or grandmother has ever lived. She was loved
by all who knew her and will be missed every day until we are reunited
in Heaven.
