Baldwin
February 5, 1921 – March 24, 2022
Howard Wesley Baldwin was born in Ponca, NE on February 5, 1921 and entered into Eternal Rest with the Lord on March 24, 2022 at the age of 101.
Howard grew up in Nebraska and Missouri. Upon graduating from High School he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was proud to serve his country in the US Navy during WWII and served on the USS Mission Bay Naval Aircraft Carrier. Completing his service with the Navy, he moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where he met the love of his life, Ann Maiorano. They were married in 1948. They settled in Chicago, Illinois, but at retirement age moved to Memphis to be with their daughter and family. He spent time enjoying his interest in steam engines and traveling. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and papa.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Ann Baldwin. His daughter, June Baldwin (Darryl) Clayton of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren, Dawn Clayton (Pete) Sheridan of Golden, Colorado and Derek Clayton of Arlington, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Hailee Clayton, Parker Clayton, Delaney Sheridan and Molly Sheridan.
Howard is predeceased in death by his parents, Amos and Eva Baldwin; and his siblings, Ethel Fox, Margaret Peterson, Dorothy Blessing and Frank Baldwin.
