James Steven (Steve) Shawver, beloved husband and father sadly left this world on 1 August 2025 after a brief illness.  Steve was married to Sylvia McFay Shawver for 55 years. He has two daughters, Ivie Chambers and Jennifer (Mike) Mrok and one brother Stan Shawver (Julie). He has 2 Grandsons and 4 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Margaret Ivie Shawver and his Father, James Lloyd Shawver and Stepmother, Daisy. He was much loved by all his friends and family.

Steve proudly served and retired from the US Army after 20 years. He was awarded the Bronze Star while serving in Viet Nam. He and family traveled extensively while in service. His favorite hobby was to fly remote controlled fixed wing airplanes. He had been a member of Millington Barnstormers Aero Modelers Club in Millington.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on 11 October 2025 at Ellendale United Methodist Church, 7217 Centralia Rd, Bartlett TN 38135.
