Obituary

Javier Garcia (61) was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was born on June 8th, 1963 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and peacefully passed away in his home on January 24th, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a kind man with a great sense of humor that would light up any room he would walk into and everyone that was blessed enough to have spent time near him will agree that just speaking with him would be enough to brighten your day. His exceptional loyalty to his family and friends has made him extremely loved by everyone, his generosity was incomparable to anyone else, always willing to lend a helping hand to those that needed it without ever expecting or wanting anything in return.

Javier Garcia dedicated 37 years working for Smith&Nephew, he was content and loved his job and the relationships he formed while being there cherishing every beloved memory he formed.

He enjoyed simple things in life like going to the park and bird watching from his kitchen window. Even in his final moments, he was full of positivity, grace and love.

Before his death, his only request was for his body to be sent over to Mexico, where he wanted to be buried next to his parents. We will be having a family and friends viewing this Thursday January 30th in Harmony Church of Bartlett located at 6740 St Elmo Rd, starting at 6pm and a funeral mass at St Francis Church located at 8151 Chimneyrock Blvd on Monday Monday, February 3rd starting at 10:30am.

For anyone who is willing to attend, please join us as we say goodbye to our beloved.
