John Ozment , 29 of Memphis, died Monday August 2 at his residence in Memphis. Born August 25, 1991, he is the son of the late Grace Yarbro Ozment (1/25/21) and Alex Ozment (Nelda) of Bartlett TN.

He had a love for baseball both as a player and a fan. He had a dry sense of humor and loved his city of Memphis. He was an avid sports fan of the following teams: Tennesee Titans, Tennesee Volunteers, Memphis Grizzlies, Memphis Tigers and the New York Yankees. He was a graduate from Arlington High School.

In addition to his father, Alex Ozment (Nelda), John is survived by his sister Mary Alice Bradshaw (Spencer) of Springfield TN, step sister Jessica Baker of Dyersburg TN, grandfather Jere Ozment also of Dyersburg TN and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Rebekah "Becky" Smith Ozment (3/11/14), his grandmother Nannette Summers Patterson (9/24/91) and his grandfather Thomas Ross Yarbro (6/24/15).

There will be a memorial service for John led by Reverend Jim Tom Pilcher with only the immediate family attending.  The family asks that memorials be made to John 3:16 Ministries (a spiritual bootcamp for men with Addictions (john316thecure.com) in John's name.
