IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julie Lynn
Smit
March 15, 1958 – May 24, 2024
In Loving Memory of Julie Lynn Smit,
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a cherished wife, devoted mother, adored
grandmother and great-grandmother, Julie. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May
24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Born March 15, 1958, Julie embraced life with a rare zest, touching the hearts of all who
knew her. She was a beacon of light and full of life. Her unwavering love and strength
were the cornerstones of her family's happiness.
As a wife, Julie was dedicated to her husband Chris, their marriage was a testament to
enduring love, built on a foundation of respect, understanding, and unwavering support.
Their fifty-year marriage was also a lifelong friendship, filled with laughter, shared
dreams, and countless cherished memories of boating and camping with the family.
As a mother, Julie was a source of boundless love and guidance. She poured her heart
and soul into her children, imparting wisdom, and instilling values that will forever guide
them. Her love knew no bounds, and her children were her greatest pride and joy.
It was in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother that Julie truly shined
brightest. She showered her grandchildren with affection, spoiling them with love,
laughter, and cooking sessions in her kitchen. Her presence brought joy to their lives and
she loved spending time outdoors with them by taking walks around the property,
playing baseball or badminton in the yard or swimming in their pool. She would blare
her music as she cooked and cleaned and would dance with anyone who would join her.
She enjoyed her garden full of flowers and her vegetable patch.
Though she may be gone, Julie's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate
enough to know her. Her love will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will
be cherished. She is survived by her husband Chris, children Scott, Christina, Crystal;
her grandchildren Brandon, Tristan, Sophia, Max, Olivia, Ryder, Skyler, Myla, Marina and
her great-grandkids Annabelle and Bryson, along with her older siblings, Ron, Sarah, and David
who find solace in the precious memories and the enduring legacy she left behind.
In honoring Julie's life, let us celebrate the love she shared, the lives she touched, and
the memories she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was
deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Forever in our hearts,
The Family of Julie Smit
