Kathryn Demery, 83, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on January 28, 1940, in New Albany, Mississippi to Guy and Ora Carter.  Kathryn, also known as "Gotty Gott", was a hardworking, loud, opinionated, honest, and God-fearing woman.  She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her outspoken nature, and her unwavering faith. She was a special mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family.

Kathryn is survived by her daughters Lisa and Teresa; her step-son James; her sister Wanda; two grandsons, Tim and Trevor; three granddaughters, Tiffany, Tabatha, and Emily; her great-grandson Cooper, and 3 "bonus" great-grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her husband of ten years, Earl Demery, her parents, and two brothers, Guy Jr., and James.
