Obituary

Kelly Littlefield was a survivor. He made it through two tours in the military, a motorcycle crash that left him with a plate in his ankle, and nine years of cancer diagnosed as terminal from the moment they found it. But he couldn't beat the odds forever.

Kelly passed away peacefully on Sunday morning after spending his last days surrounded by love and support from family and dear friends.

He was an experienced and talented chef, a skilled carver who could turn soap into roses, ice into swans, and watermelon into carriages; an iconoclast who carved his own way through the world; and a loving husband whose number one priority in his last years was to make sure his wife was taken care of.

Kelly was born in Salt Lake City and grew up between Utah and Nevada, spending many summers with his grandparents in Tropic, Utah, exploring Bryce Canyon and other parts of the dramatic local landscape.

Although he had other occupations, including long-haul trucker, Kelly was passionate about cooking and serving the community through food. He worked at the Petroleum Club in Jackson, Mississippi – the city where he met and wooed his wife, Anne Enochs – at casinos in north Mississippi, at several hospitals and retirement homes, and finally at Robinwood Retirement Resort here in Memphis. He loved to plan meals and events and to chat with the residents there and cater to their food cravings. His dedication to his craft meant he always worked as long and as hard as it took to get the job done.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Anne, and his three stepchildren, Scott Enochs and his wife Allison along with their children Drew and Evan, Christine Enochs and her partner Mark Maga, and Liz Enochs and her partner Norman Clevenger. He is also survived by his sisters Kathi Walizer, Kayleen Shakespear, and Karlin Littlefield, and brothers Keith and Kody. He was preceded in death by his brother Kerry and an infant brother.

His memorial service will be held at Arlington United Church on Wednesday, July 31 at 11880 Cranston Dr., Arlington, TN 38002 at 1:00 p.m. The link for that: https://zoom.us and the meeting ID is 751.243.4453.
