Larry Maxwell, 64, passed from this life on November 2, 2021, after battling several long years of illness. He is survived by his mother, Carol, two brothers, Brian (Glenda), Eric (Shannon) and three nephews, Nicholas, Jacob, and Garrett. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray in 2013.  Larry attended Sheffield High School in Memphis and Memphis State University. He was employed by the Memphis Fire Department in the alarm office in the 1980's, as well as a reserve deputy of the Shelby County Sheriff's department. He was always an adventurous soul that loved this city. He would eventually move to Green Bay, Wisconsin where he was employed by Breyers-Good Humor Ice Cream as a transportation analyst where he made many friends and memories.  After a few years of ongoing illnesses Larry returned to Memphis where he would eventually receive a liver transplant. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Methodist University Medical center and the numerous other medical facilities that participated in the care of Larry, and a huge thanks to the donor, and their family, who allowed us to have more time with our brother, uncle, and son.  The family will host a small visitation and remembrance on Monday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. This will be held in the clubhouse at The Oaks of Woodchase. 1680 West Southfield Circle, Cordova, TN 38106
