Lori Matlock Tooker, born March 15, 1970, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on February 8, 2026.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, teacher, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. Lori shared 37 years of marriage with her husband, Greg Tooker. She was a proud mother to her daughter, Lauren Tooker Boyd (Austin), and the most cherished "Mimi" to her grandchildren, Briley and Brayden Boyd, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Patricia Matlock; her sister, Lea Ann Tucker; and countless friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Lori was a second grade teacher at Arlington Elementary School. For more than 30 years, she dedicated her life to teaching, lovingly calling her students her "teddy bears." She poured her heart into her classroom and shaped the lives of generations of children with patience, compassion, and joy. Teaching was not just her profession — it was her calling.

Lori will be remembered for her strength and for the way she made everyone feel cared for and valued. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and in the many lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
