Marie Agnus McClosky Land died peacefully November 5, 2021 at the age of 98, surroundedby loving family members.  Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Harrry Lee Land, her son, John R. Land, mother Anna McClosky and father, John McClosky.  She is survived by her children, Harry Lee (Kathy), Tommy (Linda), Jimmy (Kay), Eddie (Vicki), Jean (Bob), Mike (Laurie), Pati (Joey) and John's wife, Wezi.  Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA April 4 ^th , 1923 to John and Anna McClosky.  She was a WW II Navy nurse.  On June 1 ^st , 1946 she married the love of her life, Harry Lee Land.  They had 8 children, 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren.  Marie was a devoted wife and mom.  She enjoyed her Shelby County Homemaker's Club of which she was a member over 50 years.  She loved to travel, spend time watching her children and grandchildren play baseball and other sports.  Loved to watch John Wayne movies and Alabama football.  She will be missed by all her family and friends as well as everyone whose life she touched.
