MARY NELLE VICKERS, 80, passed away peacefully June 08, 2024.  She was born June 5, 1944 to David and Wilie Faye Shoaf.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Shoaf and her dearly loved canine companion, Molleigh.  Mary Nelle was an administrative assistant in the technology division of First Tennessee Bank for thirty-seven years. One of her favorite activities was shopping.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Mary Nelle was a soft hearted lady.  She never met a stranger. Her friends often said she had a smile that could light up a whole room. Mary Nelle was a long-time member of  Bartlett United Methodist Church.  She was the light of her husband, Jerry's life.  She has left to cherish her memories, her husband of thirty-five years, Jerry Vickers; her sons Phillip Keith Simonton (Charlene) and Jerry W. Vickers (Christie); her grandchildren, Aliah, and Isabell Simonton and Kristin, and Taylor Vickers; one great-grandchild, Ryder. Family will receive friends at Bartlett United Methodist Church, Wednesday June 12.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Mary Nelle's final resting place will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with her parents and her brother.
