Matthew Pickell, 53, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a beloved husband and father. He was self-employed as a title abstractor in the real estate industry. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Pickell. He is survived by his wife, Christie Pickell; his son, Zach Pickell, and stepdaughter, Meagan Byers (Tristan); his mother Faye Pickell; his brother, Cliff Pickell (Marsha); his sister, Susan Teutsch; and his niece, Leah Teutsch.

Public Visitation with family will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Freed-Hardeman University Memphis, 5565 Shelby Oaks Drive, Memphis, TN 38134.
