MELBA RUTH RORIE,96, passed away peacefully in her home May 26, 2025.  She was born April 11, 1929 in Ecru, Mississippi to Clelon and Ruth Tutor.  She assisted her husband in their business, B&M Contractors for many years.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Rorie, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Debra Rorie.  She was a longtime member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church (now known as Cherokee Baptist Church); enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and sewing.  She is survived by her two sons, Robert Rorie, Jr and Gary L. Rorie; four grandchildren, Christy (Todd) Nussbaumer, Leslie (Robert) Quinn, Robbie Rorie and Holly Jones; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  The family will celebrate Melba's life at a graveside service Friday, May 30, 1:00 p.m. at Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.  Bartlett-Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Melba Ruth Rorie; bartlettheritage.com: (901) 372-5555.
