IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael William
Andrews
October 16, 1958 – November 2, 2022
Michael William Andrews, age 64, died on November 2, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, due to complications from a stroke.
Born on October 16, 1958, in Mobile, Alabama, Mike was raised in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1977, and spent the rest of his life in San Antonio.
Mike loved being a Texan. He was known for his love of Texas BBQ and was a bull rider in his younger years. He had an open heart to rescue dogs, and he welcomed many into his home. Perhaps because he was born in Alabama, he was a huge fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
Mike worked in the construction field for many years in San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie Jean Andrews, mother Ruth Andrews Trimmier, and brother-in-law Steve Blann.
He is survived by brothers Andy Andrews (Faye) of Huntsville, Alabama, Jerry Andrews (Carolyn) of Memphis, Tennessee, sisters Sandra Blann of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Susan Miller (Eric Muehling) of Fairbanks, Alaska. Mike will also be greatly missed by his very dear friend, Cyndi Faulkner, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Memorial gifts in Mike's name can be made to the Animal Defense League of Texas. There will be a celebration of life at a future date in San Antonio.
Forever a fan of the Crimson Tide, Mike would often say: "Roll Tide."
