Beloved father, grandfather, brother, friend and mentor, Dr. Michael C. Holliman, 63 was born in Albany New York on January 20, 1958 and passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Francis hospital in Memphis. Dr. Holliman is survived by his children Ashley Davidson (Wayne), Michael Allen and Bryan Chapman (Ashley), four grandchildren, two brothers Charles (Eddie) Holliman, Jr., Dr. Mark Holliman (Kelly); a sister Michelle Adams (Danny) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Estelle Holliman and a sister Sharon E. Woodson. Dr. Holliman was a licensed pilot and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He was an accomplished musician, a founding member and drummer of the popular 1970's band MidNite Snack. He would often perform on stage where he was known to sing many of Elvis Presley's most popular recordings. In 1995 Dr. Holliman earned his doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri where he served as Faculty Liaison and Intern Director of the Harbor Light Community Clinic in downtown St. Louis. While attending school in St. Louis Dr. Holliman was active in the local community, volunteering for area youth sporting events and it was in St. Louis where he earned one of his most prized possessions, his private pilots license. It was not uncommon for Dr. Holliman to call one of his buddies or his sons for a spur of the moment flight to Florida where they would golf for the day before returning home.  Dr. Holliman began his private practice in 1996, over the years his corporate entities have employed many chiropractic physicians, medical doctors and physical therapists. Until his death Dr. Holliman maintained a thriving private practice treating thousands of mid-southerners who considered him as a trusted source for medical treatment and general healthcare advice. Dr. Holliman will be missed by countless friends, patients and most importantly his beloved family.
