On Friday, December 11th, Nancy Porter, loving grandmother and mother of three children passed away at the age of 71. Nancy was born May 24th, 1949 in Memphis,TN to William and Beaulah Polk. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for almost 20 years and taught dance at All American Kids for more than a decade. She raised two sons, Wayne and Michael and one daughter Misty. Nancy was a christian and adamant about her faith and heaven. She had a passion for teaching dance and loved to travel. She loved spending time with her friends playing pickleball. Nancy was an avid seamstress and collected fabric from everywhere. Whenever a piece of fabric caught her eye, she knew exactly what she would use it for. She was known for her infectious smile, wonderful laugh and kind and compassionate spirit. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Nancy is survived by her three children, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 30th at Memphis Memory Gardens at 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Rd. at noon. Flowers can be sent to the same address.
