Roy Allison Wright, passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Roy was born on April 11, 1943 and was the youngest child of Albert D. and Maida Wright. Roy lived most of his life in Memphis, TN. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman on heavy ground radar. He also had a career as Director of Media Services at Southwest Tennessee Community College (Formerly State Tech Community College). Roy was preceded in death by his brother Albert D. Wright, Jr., and is survived by his sister Margaret and brother George. He is also survived by his children Theresa
Gallette (Steve), Roy, Jr. (Tommie), and Arron (Annette), five grandchildren, Caitlin Puckett (Josh), Jonathan Wright (Loryn), Courtney Parker (Hunter), Jacob Wright, and Joseph Wright, and one great-grandson, Charlie Parker. Roy enjoyed many hobbies, including flying remote control airplanes and helicopters, and shooting pellet guns competitively. Roy was known to take a top spot in just about any place he competed. He also enjoyed watching motorsports and sci-fi. He is loved and missed by his family and friends. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Harmony Church in Bartlett, 6740 St. Elmo Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. Visitation will be 2:00-2:30 P.M.
