IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Wayne
Pruett
August 25, 1944 – February 20, 2026
Terry W. Pruett, 81, passed away on February 20, 2026.
Terry was born on August 25, 1944, in Tiptonville, Tennessee to Walter and Louise Pruett. He grew up with strong family values that remained at the center of his life.
He dedicated 40 years of service as a postal employee before retiring, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic and commitment to his community. In addition, he enjoyed working for over 30 years at Charlie's Meat Market, where he built lasting friendships and became a familiar and trusted presence.
His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love and dedication were evident in all he did. He was a founding member of the Whistling Wings Duck Club and treasured the many years spent duck hunting alongside family and friends.
Another passion of his was the open road. He enjoyed taking many trips with friends on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, creating memories filled with adventure and camaraderie. He also found great happiness in simple pleasures, especially grilling out and gathering his loved ones together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Pruett; his sister, Barbara Medley; and his brothers, Johnny Pruett and Albert Pruett.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Anita Pruett; his children, Vicky Carter (Scott) and Tracy Price (Robbie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Forsythe (Jake), Nicholas Carter (Cassidy), Brandon Price (Samantha), and Emma Price; and his great-grandchildren, Kate and Henry Forsythe. His legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication to family will live on through each of them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Terry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
