WILLIAM JOSEPH OAKMAN, 41, Covington, TN passed away unexpectedly May 2, 2021. Billy was firefighter and reserve firefighter and EMT for 20 years in Brighton, TN. He also served as ER triage EMT at Methodist North hospital ten years. Member of True Life Church in Brighton; He was employed by H&H Trucking, Ripley, TN, enjoyed horses, shooting guns, and spending time with family and friends.   Billy is preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Oakman and paternal grandparents, George and Patricia Oakman and his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Alberta Collins.  He is survived by his mother, Lynne Oakman; older brothers, Robert (Bobby) Oakman and Joe Carter; two nephews, Ethan and Landon Carter; his constant canine companion Hondo, who loved riding in big trucks with Billy.  He also leaves several aunts and uncles and cousins.  Anyone who went anywhere with Billy always saw him greeting people he knew. He had many many friends and acquaintances.
