A precious loved one of ours has gone home to be with the Lord.  On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, Willie Floyd Robertson, Sr. ascended to his eternal home.  His earthly mission was complete at the age of 90 years.  He was born on January 1,1931 in Whiteville, Tennessee to Thad Robertson Sr. and Phairby Burtis.  Willie accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a dedicated employee of University of Memphis, retiring after 20 years of service.  He joined the Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953, and received multiple medals.  He was also a member of Simon Chapel in Whiteville, Tennessee.  Known as Floyd by all who knew and loved him, he leaves to cherish loving memories are his children, Mickel Robertson, Vera Hughes, Gloria Simmons, Glender Robertson, Elaine Robertson, Patricia Robertson, Willie Floyd Robertson, Jr., Troy Robertson, James Robertson, Jerry McKinney all of Hardeman County, and Phairby Robertson and Stephanie Robertson, of Memphis, Tennessee. His remaining children reside in Mississippi, St. Louis, and Chicago.  He has a host of grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and god-children who admired and loved him passionately.
